Virtual Reality.

Heart VRTM imports medical image volumes from CT, MRI or 3D echo directly into a virtual reality environment.

No pre-segmentation of images is required. The operator can play/pause, manipulate, measure and change rendering properties rapidly within a VR environment. Dynamic motion is retained in all imaging modalities, essential for both the surgeon and interventionist.

Device Selection.

The fully immersive nature of visualisation using Heart VRTM permits insertion of virtual devices into the heart.

Defects can be measured and a device of appropriate size and type can be “road-tested” in advance of the patient procedure. Devices can be resized easily in the VR environment. Blood pool nulling is achieved in the software to see details of vessel, chamber walls and defects.

Workflow.

Heart VRTM uses a compact laptop computer and VR headset compatible with the clinical environment. Designed by clinicians for clinicians.

Rapid loading and no presegmentation saves time. The need for 3D printing may be avoided, further reducing cost and resource utilisation. Virtual devices and accurate measurements are designed to improve device selection and reduce device wastage.
